The Power 90 Extreme or p90x workout program is one of the exercise systems developed by Tony Horton together with Beachbody. This exercise program is able to transform or improve someone’s physical fitness within ninety days. The P90X workout program has an emphasis on full body fitness. </div> It consists of intensive strength training and cardiovascular workouts using circuits, plyometrics, intervals, core, yoga, and stretching workouts. Just like the Turbo Fire workout, the P90X workout program utilizes twelve DVD workouts to guide users in the types of exercises to work on. The workout program divides the workouts into three thirty-day stages and includes a dietary and nutrition supplement plan. The nutrition plan complements the exercise program. In the first thirty days, the program requires that a person eat high levels of proteins and low carbohydrates. When ready, the person using the P90X workout program moves on to the second stage, which requires the increase of carbohydrates into one’s diet. The third stage of the program is taking high levels of carbohydrates, which is the program’s goal. When using p90x, users should move through the program’s stages at their own pace. The creators recommend that users of the P90X workout program take a drink when they complete the exercises so that they will help their bodies recover efficiently. This workout program’s effectiveness has its base on the Muscle Confusion concept. This means that your body reacts to the program due to the switching order of exercises that incorporate new movements at each stage.
