What’s the best way to use Your HP printer

HP toner cartridges are the printer consumables of your HP LaserJet Printers, these contain toner powder made from high-engineered polymers mixed with carbon and coloring agents making the printing process possible. Its no surprise that users often complain how expensive these HP toners are, sometimes even to the extent that they cost higher than the laser printer unit itself. Thus to solve this dilemma, printer users resort in buying cost-saving alternative such as compatible HP toner cartridges to save money.

But even though these compatible HP toners can lessen your printing expenses, don’t you wish to know how to extend the life of your toner cartridge to save even more. HP toner cartridges has a shelf life of about 18 months and an installed life of 6 months, basically having a life expectancy total of 24 months. However, as stated earlier, it is possible to extend this by following these certain steps:

Store your HP toner cartridges properly. Since these printer cartridges are photo-sensitive, it is prudent to stock them on a dark cabinet at a room temperature of 60 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Remember to take note of the temperature, too much heat can cause the toner powder to melt and fuse within the cartridge’s parts. If this happens then there’s a great probability that your HP toner cartridges can be defunct. Popular hp printer models includes: cf400x / hp 201x, etc.

Set your HP LaserJet to Eco-Mode. About a large portion of HP LaserJet Printers and multifunction centers are featured with an eco-mode setting. The Eco-Mode setting generates the printer to use minimal amount of toner in printing documents and images, thus saving the install life of your HP toner cartridges.

For drafts and unimportant documents, print black. If you’re going to print for drafts, home works or full-text documents then select printing black in the printers setting since the normal setting tend to used all the colors thus wasting them.

Redistribute the toner. A hack used to get the most out of your HP toner cartridges every time that low-toner alert message pops out in your screen. All you need to do is take out of the toner cartridge out of your printer component, gently shake it from side to side to distribute the toner powder inside the cartridge, making it possible for your printer to produce more output.

While extending the life of the printer, you can also choose a more cost-effective supplies products to achieve the best results of the printer, which is the best use of HP printers.

Best Toner Cartridge that go green

Nowadays, green is one of the most important indicators in toner cartridge and other printer supplies.

A lot of efforts are being made lately to reduce the use of harmful materials that cause trouble in the environment. Even when the technology is rising, there are still ways to conserve the resources and energy without having to lose the quality and life that you were used to.

In the computer and printer industry, there are different ways being applied by several companies to go green. Some reduce their wastes through installing lightings that consume less energy. Also using cutting-edge LED can decrease your electric bill and lower the used materials for making electricity. Another method that many companies apply nowadays is reducing the trash made by being efficient with the internet communication and thinking twice before printing.

Energy savings is also an important factor to save more on our resources. Low cost on electricity can be gained if the appliances used are those that are cost and Earth friendly. Also, turning off devices and lights not in use can really help especially in places that do not have too many of these left on.

But if you wish to save on your work and personal prints, it’s very easy. Just use compatible cartridges like V4ink which can be an alternative for the expensive original equipment manufactured inks and toners. A compatible cartridge contributes to the saving of nature because of its manufacturing process and the resources it uses. It also saves on ink or toner while maintaining the high quality of printed materials. The popular printer models include brother toner / brother tn450 / cf400x, etc.

Trying these measures will surely make you a more eco-friendly person plus you can save more on your electric bills too. That’s conserving money and the environment at the same time.

What is the cleaning method of the printer?

To clean the printer, several parts of the copier need to be separated in order to carry out targeted cleaning work. Editor to detail the various parts of the copier should be how clean.

Copiers at least should be divided into three parts to clean, respectively, copier shell, copier glass panel, copier internal parts and samsung toner cartridge. Here are the cleaning methods for each section:

Cleaning method of the copier case

The cover of the copier can be scrubbed with a semi-wet cloth. Be careful not to be too wet, the water dripping into the copier inside. If you encounter stubborn stains, you can gently wipe dipped in soapy water until the removal of stains so far, and then we have to use a cotton cloth dipped in water wipe several times, and finally dry with a dry cloth to complete the cleaning work. The most important thing to remember about cleaning a copier is cleaning it regularly to keep it clean.

Cleaning method of glass panel for copier

When cleaning the platen glass, avoid wiping with organic solvents. Because the platen glass is coated with a light-transmissive coating and a conductive coating, these coatings do not dissolve in water and are soluble in organic materials, so we do not use solvents such as alcohol to clean them. When using it, please avoid touching the table glass by hand. If there is binding, please remove the pins, paper clips and staples on the original and put it in the specified position. After the altered originals must wait until the correction fluid dry after copying.

Cleaning of internal parts of copier

We clean the internal parts of the copier to pay attention when wearing masks, so as not to smoke, such as dust. The most common part to remember is the fuser roller. Under normal circumstances I still suggest that if the dirty is directly replaced, because it is very difficult to clean up the printer toner on the stick. But if you can not find the replacement, you can try the day with water or gasoline bubble for a while, then wipe scrubbing, generally can remove the dust. In the removal of waste ink tube when you have to be careful to prevent the toner is filled in the air too much by the body inhalation.

Using Your HP Toners to Their Full Potential

HP printers are one of the most popular printer brands in the world along Canon, Panasonic, Xerox, Brother and Epson. Hewlett Packard are also known for their laserjet printers, actually their were the one who introduced the first desktop laser printer to the world in the year 1984 and left an impact to the printing industry, giving a chance to the emergence of new laser-jet printers.

HP toner are known for their durability and efficient functionality that provides printer users with satisfaction. These cartridges contain high-quality toner mixed with polymer that delivers excellent quality of printouts. They also provide you with high-yield and low-yield cartridges. High-yield toner cartridges allow you to print in large volumes but cost more than low-yield cartridges.

Given that HP toners quality and performance are already proven by consumers, some things might intervene the performance of your HP toner cartridges that you need to avoid. Here are some tips to help you use your HP toners to their full potential:

Take Note of Your HP Toner’s Shelf Life - HP toners have an expected life of about 24 months divided between its shelf-life and installed life. The recommended shelf-life of an HP toner cartridge is about 18 months, while the remaining six months is the expected installed life of an HP toner.

Avoid heat, moisture or humidity - Never expose your HP toners to excessive heat or humidity since this could damage their components and render their toner particles unfit for laser printing. Heat can cause toner to prematurely fuse with the plastic while moisture can turn the toner particles soggy and too much exposure on light can damage the photosensitive properties of your HP toners.

Change the Cartridge DrumUnit - If your HP printer contains a separate drum, this drum needs to be replaced time to time. The average install life of an imaging drum last for three toner replacement. Most printer users make the mistake of replacing their toner cartridge instead of changing the printer’s drum unit every time the printer prints sub-par quality documents.

Never Leave them Behind - Never leave newly bought HP toners in your car, as even on cool days the temperature can exceed safe levels which may distort the plastic in the cartridge. The basement isn’t a good place either because it’s damp.

Do Not Touch the Electric Component - Refrain yourself from touching the electric components of your HP toners, doing so may damage it and affect its performance.

Just follow these tips and you’re sure to be getting the best printouts from your HP toners. But most importantly, make sure you purchase your HP toners from reliable online retailers that only provides high-quality HP toners.

Printer Not Recognizing Compatible Cartridges- 8 Steps To Take

Is your Samsung, HP, Brother, Canon, Ricoh or Epson printer not recognizing your new ink or toner cartridge? This is something that we find our customers experience every now and again so you definitely aren't alone!

A printer not recognizing a new ink or toner cartridge is one of the most common issues that print owners experience when changing or replacing an empty one, irrespective of what brand printer you have, and one that our customers frequently ask us about.

There may be occasions when, after installing a new ink or toner cartridge in your printer, you might see a message like:

Your printer says 'toner is not compatible'

Your printer says 'printer cartridge not detected'

A low or empty level of ink and toner displayed on your computer

A message on your printer warning "no cartridge installed" (or words to that effect)

Flashing warning lights displayed on your printer

Internal memory reset:

Your printer should automatically recognize when you install a new cartridge and reset its internal memory, ensuring that it's displaying full ink and toner levels etc. However, sometimes the printer just doesn't do that correctly and believes that the old one, or no cartridge, is currently in there, instead.

Protective strips:

If you haven't removed protective covers or plastic strips that are attached to a new cartridge when you first take it out of its packaging, the printer will definitely fail to register the new cartridge.

Dirty / damaged contacts:

The canon printer ink or toner cartridge has a number of metal contacts that connect to similar metal contacts in the printer allowing them to communicate. Dirt or damage can prevent this.

Firmware:

Modern printers automatically connect to the internet but pc software or internal printer software (firmware) will often need to be updated. These updates can often fix bugs.

Incorrect consumable installed:

A rare occasion but this does happen! If a drum or fuser or other maintenance item was accidentally purchased instead of a toner or ink cartridge, the printer will not work and still needs a new ink or toner.

So, here's what to do - 8 steps to try

The first thing to do is not to panic! Whether you've bought them from us or another supplier, there really shouldn't be any reason why a good quality original or compatible cartridge wouldn't work in your printer so with a little patience, we'll get you through it. Try the following 8 steps to correct your issue.

Resetting the printer memory:

1.Remove your new cartridge and replace it with the old one. Leave your printer and go and do something else for 10 minutes.

2.Replace the old cartridge with the Best Toner Cartridge again. These two steps alone often resolve the issue, so see if your printer now recognizes your new cartridges. However, if you're still having trouble.
3.Remove the new cartridge. Make sure you place it in a clean and safe place where the cartridge or the surface won't be damaged.

4.Turn the printer off button using its power button

5.Unplug your printer at the wall. It's important to do both steps 4 and 5 separately, as some printers can remain in sleep mode if you've only switched off the power button on the printer control panel. Leave your printer like this for about 10 minutes or so.

6.Plug your printer back in at the wall (but don't press the power button just yet)

7.Insert your new cartridge

8.Press the power button on your printer

My Samsung Laser Printer Is Printing Blank Pages

When your Samsung laser printer begins to print blank pages, it usually means that the printer's toner cartridge is running out of toner, the cartridge is defective and needs replacing or one or more components within your printer is faulty. Troubleshooting the printing problem is not difficult; you can usually resolve the problem yourself without consulting a repair service or center.

Document Issue

Your Samsung laser printer will print documents containing blank pages including entire documents containing blank pages, so it's possible the problem is not with your printer but with the document you are sending to the device. Check the document and delete any blank pages to resolve the printing problem before troubleshooting your printer's toner cartridge.

Sealing Tape Issue

If your samsung printer cartridge was recently replaced and is printing blank pages, remove the cartridge and check to see if you removed the sealing tape inserted into the cartridge. The sealing tape keeps toner from escaping the cartridge while within the cartridge's packaging. Open your Samsung printer's front cover, pull its toner cartridge out and pull the sealing tape out of the cartridge to resolve the printing issue. Reinstall the cartridge and resend the document you are trying to print to the printer.

Out of Toner Issue

Your Samsung laser printer's toner cartridge doesn't last forever and the cartridge may not always alert the printer that its toner level is low. This problem will result in blank documents no matter how many times you send a document from your computer to the printer. To squeeze the last bit of toner out of your printer's cartridge, open your Samsung printer's front cover, pull its toner cartridge out and shake the cartridge gently from side to side five to six times to distribute the toner inside of the cartridge. Hold the cartridge away from you to keep any loose toner from getting on your clothing. Do not touch the underside of the cartridge - this area makes contact with your printer and contains toner. Reinstall the toner cartridge once the toner is redistributed. You will be able to use your printer for a few more cycles, but will still have to replace the cartridge.

Defective Toner Cartridge

If the toner cartridge's sealing tape is not present and the cartridge is full of toner but still printing blank pages, the toner cartridge is defective and needs replacing. It could be that one or more components inside of the cartridge are failing or that the cartridge's electrical components are not communicating with your Samsung laser printer. Replace the cartridge immediately and try returning the defective cartridge for an exchange or refund. If you want to order printer ink online, V4ink would be the cheapest place to buy printer ink.

Faulty Printer Components

A faulty or defective printer controller or one or more defective circuit boards inside of your Samsung laser printer can cause the device to print blank pages. A faulty laser shutter, transfer roller or laser scanner cable might also cause your printer to print blank pages. Consult your Samsung laser printer's owner's manual or the Samsung website for a listing of authorized repair centers you can ship or take your printer to for repair. If the laser printer is still under warranty, the repair will be free but you may have to pay for shipping the printer to the repair center.

How to Change a Samsung Cartridge

One of the easiest things you can do to keep your printer printing at an optimal level is to change the toner cartridge. Even if the printer is an all-in-one, like the Samsung SCX-4500W, the process can be completed with a few easy steps. And fortunately, you don't even have to guess when the time to change the cartridge comes. This model actually tells you it's time by displaying messages on its screen and by blinking LED lights on the control panel.

To prevent damage to the toner cartridge, do not expose it to light for more than a few minutes. Cover it with a piece of paper, if necessary. Do not touch the green area of the toner cartridge. Use the handle on the cartridge to avoid touching this area. Do not use sharp objects such as a knife or scissors to open the toner cartridge package. They might scratch the drum of the cartridge. If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash clothing in cold water. Hot water sets toner into fabric. When opening a scan unit, hold the document feeder and scan unit together.

How to Change a Samsung Toner Turn the printer's power off. The power button is located on the control panel on the top of the printer, on the right side.

Open the printer's top cover by pressing the top cover lever, which is located on the bottom side of the top cover.

Lift the cover all of the way open.

Locate the toner cartridge. It will be right in the center of the printer and has a handle on the top of it. Grab the handle and pull the cartridge out.

Hold the replacement cartridge at its side and gently rock it back and forth. This will help to distribute the toner equally throughout the cartridge.

Remove the paper cover from the top of the cartridge.

Insert the replacement cartridge into the printer and close the printer's top cover.

Finally, V4ink is the cheapest place to buy printer ink.

Troubleshooting of Toner LED flashing

I just replaced the tn450 toner cartridge and the LCD continues to display the message "Toner Low" / "Replace Toner" / "Toner Ended" or the Toner LED is still on or flashing.

If the machine's display or LED continues to show the Toner Low, Replace Toner or Toner Ended error indication after installing a new toner cartridge, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

1. Verify that you didn't replace a different consumable by mistake. The Brother machine has separate consumables - the toner cartridge and the drum unit. Verify you replace only the toner cartridge and not the drum unit.

2. Verify you are using a NEW Brother toner cartridge. When replacing the toner cartridge, you MUST install a brand new, unused genuine Brother toner cartridge in order to reset the toner status. Swapping toner cartridges from one machine to another or installing a partially used toner cartridge may cause this issue. Brother machines control their image quality for the most suitable print quality by monitoring toner consumption. If you install a partially used toner cartridge, your Brother machine is unable to recognise toner consumption correctly which will cause this issue. Therefore, when you replace the toner cartridge, use a brand new toner cartridge, not a partially used toner cartridge from another machine.

3. Verify you are using a GENUINE Brother toner cartridge. For optimum performance, use only new genuine Brother brand consumables which are specially formulated to ensure top print quality. Printing with non-Brother genuine toner cartridges may reduce not only the print quality but also the performance quality and life of the machine. If damage is caused to the drum unit or other parts of the machine as a result of using hp ink cartridges, any repairs required as a result will not be covered by the Brother limited warranty.

4. Verify the toner cartridge is installed correctly. If you install a new genuine Brother toner cartridge but the "Toner Low", "Replace Toner" or "Toner Ended" error indication remains, the toner cartridge may not be installed correctly. Reinstall the toner cartridge, referring to the instructions on how to replace the toner cartridge.

5. Clean the corona wire. This issue may have occurred because the corona wire has become dirty.

6. Update the firmware to the latest version.

Go to the Downloads section of this website to check the latest version of the firmware.

If you see the Firmware Update Tool in the Downloads section, check detail information to identify the firmware version. If the firmware version of your Brother machine is earlier than the latest version, update the firmware. Follow the installation instructions on the download page.

Installation instruction of Brother TN420/TN450

These instructions explain toner installation procedures for a brother tn420 / tn450 toner cartridge.

The original toner cartridge that was included with this machine may either be a starter, standard, or a high yield cartridge. When the toner becomes low, the TONER LED indicator light will flash continuously until replaced. Once the toner cartridge is empty, the printer will enter a “REPLACE TONER” mode that ceases print functionality until the toner cartridge is replaced. A new and unused toner cartridge will reset the “REPLACE TONER” mode.

Before you begin please take time to perform the following steps to ensure that the new print cartridge is properly detected by your Brother printer:
1. Check to ensure that the dial on the left side of the brother toner cartridge is in the position as illustrated in the image below. If not, turn the dial counter clockwise until it matches the position in the image.
2. Check to make sure that the printer is powered up during the entire process. Changing the cartridge with the printer powered off will not reset the “REPLACE TONER” mode. In the event that the printer is powered off when the cartridge is installed, you will need to remove the cartridge and repeat step one before reinstalling the cartridge.

Replacing the toner cartridge

1. Make sure that the machine is powered up.
2. Open the front cover of the machine.
3. Remove both the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
4. Push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
5. Unpack the new toner cartridge. Hold the cartridge level with both hands and gently shake it from side to side several times in order to distribute the toner evenly inside of the cartridge.
6. Pull off the protective cover.
7. Note: Before installing this cartridge, please check to ensure that the dial on the left side of the new cartridge is positioned identical to the image below. If not, turn the dial counter-clockwise until it matches the dial position in the image. It is imperative that this dial be locked into position as illustrated to ensure that the printer detects that a new cartridge has been installed and resets the “REPLACE TONER” mode.
8. Put the new toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit you hear and feel it lock into place. If installed successfully, the green lock lever will lift automatically.
9. Clean the primary corona wire inside of the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from right to left and left to right several times.
10. Reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine. Close the front cover.

How do I clear the message "Replace Toner"?

The message "Replace Toner" is intended to alert you that the toner cartridge has reached the end of its expected life. It is recommended that the toner cartridge be replaced.

To clear the "Replace Toner" message, install a new genuine Brother TN420 or tn450 toner cartridge. When replacing the toner cartridge, you MUST install a brand new, unused genuine Brother toner cartridge in order to reset the "Replace Toner" status. Do NOT install a previously used cartridge that was already installed into another machine or a TN starter cartridge that comes with the machine.

Refer to the following solution for toner replacement instructions - "How do I install a new toner cartridge? How do I replace the toner cartridge?"
The machine can be placed in Continue Mode. This is a temporary mode that will ensure that the current toner cartridge can continue to be used until the status changes to "Toner Ended" before you install a new toner cartridge.

Refer to the following solution for instructions to enable Continue Mode - "What is Toner Continue Mode?"
Brother strongly recommends that customers use only genuine Brother drum units and/or toner cartridges. Each Brother laser printer is designed to work at pre-set temperatures that are matched exactly to each of our individual toner formulations. Each individual component is designed to work with the other to ensure quality and reliability. Using non-Brother supplies may affect the hardware performance, print quality, and machine reliability. The Brother limited warranty does not apply to any problem that is caused by the use of third party drum units, ink cartridges, or toner.

Installation Instruction of Brother TN450/TN420 Ink Cartridges

These instructions explain toner installation procedures for a Brother TN420/TN450 toner cartridge.
Introduction
The original printer cartridge that was included with this machine may either be a starter, standard, or a high yield cartridge. When the toner becomes low, the TONER LED indicator light will flash continuously until replaced. Once the printer ink is empty, the printer will enter a “REPLACE TONER” mode that ceases print functionality until the toner cartridge is replaced. A new and unused toner cartridge will reset the “REPLACE TONER” mode.
Before You Begin
Before you begin please take time to perform the following steps to ensure that the new print cartridge is properly detected by your Brother printer:
1. Check to ensure that the dial on the left side of the cartridge is in the position as illustrated in the image below. If not, turn the dial counter clockwise until it matches the position in the image.
2. Check to make sure that the printer is powered up during the entire process. Changing the printer ink cartridges with the printer powered off will not reset the “REPLACE TONER” mode.

Note: Be sure to return the tab to the home position (^) (1). If you do not, printed pages may contain a vertical stripe.
10. Reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine. Close the front cover. Note: Do NOT turn off the machine’s power switch or open the front cover until the “Ready” LED has illuminated.
