I gave Daniel a funny look and he knew what it meant
I survived my first afternoon of camp. Cooper and I chatted for about ten minutes. We talked about the weather, about TV and about why we came to camp. At first my mind wasn’t with the conversation; it was thinking about going back to my cabin after the conversation and calling my best friend, Brittany and telling her about the most amazing guy I met at summer camp. But then I realized that she was in Canada with her parents for the summer (their winter) to ski. And that would cost me a fortune on my mobile. So I decided against it; emailing is easier and it’s free. The only problem was that there was no internet connection at camp. After that I paid full attention to the conversation because some of the information may come in handy to create conversation in the future.

After my amazing conversation, I headed to the main hall for the afternoon activity. That afternoon it just happened to be charades the game that I hate most in the world. I’ve always hated charades. I’ve hated it since when ugg boots outlet I was little. I was playing it with my dad and he collapsed to the floor. I thought he had a heart attack or something but he was just acting. And I have hated it ever since. He gave me the shock of a lifetime. I sat through two minutes of charades and nearly had a breakdown, but it was better than going back to my cabin and sitting in a room of bitching girls. I was so bored; I was looking all around the main hall. My eyes connected with the back door about 5 meters from me and I thought I saw my other best friend, Daniel. I thought I was just hallucinating, because I wish he was here.

"I thought you hated charades," said a voice. I turned and looked back at the door. It was Daniel. I jumped out of the stupid plastic chair I was sitting in and ran over to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and jumped onto him. We had a very emotional hug for a while. I stepped back to make sure that I wasn’t imagining things. Then he hugged me again. Daniel was one of my best friends. I have known him since I was a little girl. He and his family live around the corner from me. He is good friends with my brothers too. We have spent every weekend together since we were five. I love him to pieces; he is probably my best friend in the world. He has been there for me and I have been there for him. Seeing him here is the most amazing thing ever . I just stood there in shock. I started to cry. I couldn’t believe that I cried in front of him, but I did.

"Let’s get ugg boots outlet out of here." Daniel said. He put his arm around me and we walked out of the main hall. My eyes were all blurry from crying but I could see that we had walked past the boys cabins.
"Where are we going?" I asked Daniel quietly.
"To my cabin."
We continued to walk. Further and further away from the cabins. I started to think he didn’t know where he was going. But eventually we arrived.
"Why is your cabin in with the workers cabins?" I asked Daniel.
"I will tell you when we get inside." He replied.
We walked up the five stairs and opened the old wooden door to the inside of Daniel’s cabin.
"It’s because I am part of the staff." Daniel said. I wasn’t expecting that. I was thinking it was because they ran out of normal cabins. Not because he was part of the staff.
I gave Daniel a funny look and he knew what it meant.

"Your brother told me you weren’t too keen on coming to camp and I thought I would be an awesome friend and surprise you." "But I couldn’t afford to come, so the only way I could come was by being a volunteer leader." I walked over to where Daniel was standing and wrapped my small arms around his huge, buff body.
Minutes passed as we talked about crap and laughed together. I was so used to seeing Daniel as the boy next door, the other ugg boots for sale United Kingdom brother and the best friend that he seemed different here. I was seeing him in a totally different light. I was seeing all these characteristics that I hadn’t seen in him before. He was being sweet and caring. He was listening to what I had to say and he looked me in the eye not at anything else.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I grabbed it and answered the call. It was Tom.
"How’s my little sister going?" Tom asked in a very brotherly voice.
"Tom, why did you call so soon?" I said in a quiet voice as I wasn’t sure I wanted Daniel to hear our conversation.
"To make sure that you got to camp safely… and to make sure that you got my surprise!"
"Yes, I got your surprise Tom." I said as I looked at Daniel and gave him a half smile.
"Well I will let you get back to that then."
"Oh wait, Tom. I forgot to tell you about this really attractive guy I met earlier today and he seemed interested in me."
"I’ll leave you to it then Bells." Tom said quietly, then hung up the phone.
I was so glad he called. I was missing him already. He is one of the only things that I needed for survival
