Sony FCB-EX490EP [24 Sep 2013|10:46am]

The FCB-EX490EP block camera combines superb picture quality with high zoom capabilities, up to 216x with optical zoom. Ideally suited for IP-ready monitoring applications, the FCB-EX490EP incorporates True Progressive Scan with a digital output (ITU-R BT656). In low or high contrast lighting situations, the FCB-EX490EP operates an Auto Wide-D mode that automatically turns on/off the Wide-D according to the luminance of the image. In addition, color enhancement features are ideally suited for low vision applications.
The FCB-EX490E/P is specifically designed for challenging around-the-clock applications, operating at a minimum illumination of 0.7 lx (F1.4 measured at 50IRE). The picture quality is further enhanced at low light via the combined 2D/3D superior Enhanced Noise Reduction capability – which provides 5 levels of adjustment in order to select the most desirable image. This together with an auto on/off Wide Dynamic Range, and auto ICR function makes the Sony FCB-EX490E/P particularly suitable for integration into both indoor and outdoor mainstream Video Surveillance environments.
Image Device      1/4-type EXview HAD™ CCD (Progressive Scan)
Effective Pixels   440,000
Digital Zoom       12x (216x with optical zoom)
Horizontal Viewing Angle       48.0° (wide end) to 2.8° (tele end)
In order to meet a wider range of applications, the FCB-EX490E/P also comes equipped with evermore sophisticated additional specifications and features, including a wider operating temperature range, temperature readout, Colour Enhancement and Slow AE Response (beyond 10 minutes) as well as other features inherited from earlier Sony dome camera. These and other features whilst making the FCB-EX490E/P the definitive choice for mid range security & monitoring systems, also enable the camera to be perfectly suited to other applications, such as low vision systems, inspection and law enforcement support.
